Sometimes you want to use a specific colour rather than standard red, yellow,
orange, etc. Often that colour is off a logo or part of a website page or
website image. You can use this choose colour from picture screen to find
out what colour that is and collect the RGB colour system numbers for use in
Repeat Signage. You have two options:
Load picture
If you have a picture with your target colour in, for example a picture file
with your organisation's logo in, then you can use the 'Load picture' button to
display this picture on screen. You can then scroll around then picture
and click on the pixel that contains the target colour. This then
puts the colour in the 'Selected colour' preview panel and displays the RGB
colour system numbers for your chosen colour. Clicking on OK then returns
your selected colour to the calling screen.
Copy from clipboard
If the colour you want is part of the background colour on a website page, or
somewhere in another program, you can use the Windows print screen key on your
keyboard, which is often at the top right of your keyboard and labelled 'Prnt
Scrn'. When you can see the colour you want on screen (in your browser or
another program) then press the print screen keyboard key to capture the current
image of your screen into the computer's clipboard memory. You can then
return to Repeat Signage and click on 'Copy from clipboard'. This will
insert a copy of your screen image into the preview box so that you can then
select a colour by clicking on a pixel that contains it. This then puts
the colour in the 'Selected colour' preview panel and displays the RGB colour
system numbers for your chosen colour. Clicking on OK then returns your
selected colour to the calling screen.
