Touchscreen control has been discontinued.
Click action
This tab only appears in touch screen presentations. You have the
following option if a user clicks (touches) the current control:
NONE - Nothing happens, which is the default.
Navigation options
These options allow you to control which page is displayed when a control is
clicked. The most useful is NAVIGATE TO which then allows you to
specify a website page to go to:
NAVIGATE TO - Selecting this allows you to choose a new touch
screen website page, or file, to navigate the touch screen area to.
NAVIGATE HOME - Go back to the starting page, which is the one you
specify on your touch screen surface control.
NAVIGATE BACK - This is the same a the back button in your browser.
It takes you to the previous page.
NAVIGATE FORWARD - This is the same a the forward button in your
browser. It takes you to the next page. It only works if you
have gone backwards using the back button and then this allows you to go
forward again.
NAVIGATE REFRESH - This just refreshes the current page. It's
the same as clicking on the Refresh icon or pressing the F5 key in Microsoft
Internet Explorer.
Quit click actions
By default, there is no exit button on a touch screen presentation. You
have to type in a password (by attaching a keyboard or using the keyboard
control) in order to close the presentation. This is so that in public
areas, users cannot exit your touch screen presentation and start messing
about with the computer. However, in some situations, you may want to give
uses a quit option.
QUIT WITH PASSWORD PROMPT - This options allows you to put an exit button in place (usually either a
Text label control with something like 'Exit' or a picture control).
QUIT WITH CONFIRM - Allows users to quit the presentation by
clicking on this control. No password is required, but the user will
be asked to confirm they want to exit by clicking (touching) a 'Yes' button.
QUIT WITHOUT CONFIRM - Allow the presentation to be closed
immediately if this control is clicked. The user is not prompted to
confirm or prompted to enter a password.
Scroll click actions
These options only work with website pages that are larger than the touch
screen area:
SCROLL UP - Scrolls the website page up
SCROLL DOWN - Scrolls the website page down
SCROLL LEFT - Scrolls the website page left
SCROLL RIGHT - Scrolls the website page right
You can choose to display the scroll bars next to the touch screen area if
required. To do this, then double click the touch screen control and
then choose the 'Touch screen surface' tab and look for the 'Show scroll
bars' tick box. Scroll commands work even if the touch screen surface
is read only.
Text click actions
These can be good for creating 'button's with the
Text label control so that you could design your own on-screen keyboard,
for example to display the alphabet on the left or right screen edges.
SEND TEXT CAPS SENSITIVE - This allows you to manually type text, such as a, b, c,
d, etc that will put sent to the touch screen area when pressed. If
the keyboard caps lock if on, then then the uppercase version will be sent
instead.
SEND TEXT KEEPING CASE - The same as
SEND TEXT CAPS SENSITIVE
but if you send 'a' then it will always appear on screen as 'a'
regardless of whether the keyboard caps lock is on or not.
The following are can be selected to send keyboard type special keys such as
ENTER or DELETE to the keyboard:
